About the Race
The FRONTRUNNERS GutBuster Trail Running Series is Vancouver Island's Premiere Trail Running Series that takes runners off the road and onto the some of the most amazing trail networks in Western Canada. We are offering five exciting races for the 2009 season. Each race offers a short course (5-8km) and Long Course (10-21km) option and the last race of the season at Mt Washington is and ascent race which climbs 505m to the top of Mt Washington Ski Resort.

Run/Walk Categories
Male & Female: 15 and Under, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50-59, 60+ (Masters 40+). Medals presented to the top 3 in each of these categories in both the short course and long course events.
Series Awards
GUTBUSTER INDIVIDUAL SERIES STANDINGS
Points will be awarded to the top 15 finishers in each category of the long course only. Your best FOUR performances out of the possible five will be used to calculate total series points and determine the FRONTRUNNERS GutBuster Series Champions. The more you race the better chance you have to place well in the rankings!
GUTBUSTER CLUB SERIES STANDINGS
Individual members running for a club will score for their clubs total. The club with the highest point totals at the end of the series will win a club social night at Frontrunners in Langford sponsored by The North Face. The evening will include drinks, appies, 25% store discount and North Face draw prizes.
Race Package Pick-up
Frontrunners Westshore on the day before the event and at the race site on the day of the event.
